TEACHER OF ELOCUTION

AN ACQUISITION TO WELLINGTON. Mr IV. Densem, a popular teacher of elocution and singing in Christchurch, who has'taken up his residence in Wellington, whore lie will continue teaching, received an enthusiastic farewell from over 70 pupils, ex-pupils, and friends who paid tribute to the quality of his teaching and his personal attributes, rnd handed both him and his wife valuable presents. Mr Frank McDonald, who made o presentation of a substantial sum of money to Air Densem, on behalf of the past and present pupils, said that the quality of Mr Densem's teaching w r as shown by the fact that many of his pupils had made their mark in the Old Country. There was Miss Eve Balfour, who playc-d in Sir Herbert Trees Shakespearean Company, Air F. Rcade Waucliop had also made a name for himself as an inventor cf dances. One night, outside a London theatre, the speaker met Aliss Ellen Terry, and she herself said that Air Wauchop’s work reflected great credit on his teacher.
