CHILD DROWNED

FALLS INTO A HOLE. FEB VRESS ASSOCIATIONDUNEDIN, February 2. Margaret Scoullar Grierson, aged 12 years, was drowned this afternoon in the Leith stream which runs through Woodhaugh Gardens. The girl was walking along the bank and slipped into a hole, which is estimated to be 12 feet deep. Attempts to rescue failed, and two hours elapeed before the body was recovered.
