UNEMPLOYED EARL

“LACK OF FIXED WORK.” Ronald Atkin Dalzell, Earl of Carnwath, of Clanricarde Gardens, &.W., appeared in the Bankruptcy Court a few weeks i go, at a meeting of his creditors. The Official Receiver stated that the Earl was unemployed before the war. He joined the Air Service, and was invalided out in 1915. Later lie joined lhe Welsh v Yeomanry and served until 1919, when he was again invalided, and received a pension of J 240 a year. The Dari had been employed by a tobacco firm at a salary of ,£IOOO a year, but had since been out of employment for six faonths. His liabilities wore estimated at J 61200,, and the assets consisted of a life policy and the remainder of a life interest and post-nuptial settlements. The Dari attributed his insolvency to lack of fixed employment and to heavy taxes deducted under a settlement leaving little or no surplus after payment of prior charges. A trustee was appointed.
