WORSER BAY CLUB CARNIVAL. Arrangements «ie well in hand lor the Warser Bay Swimming and life Saving Carnival on Monday, and; if 1 given fine weather a good gathering of swimming and life saving supporters should Jesuit. The entries are a record for the ohib, and after seeing the handicaps there should be record fields and exciting finishes. All the local champions, including Murrell and the Claridg's, have entered, and {heir performances (the last before leaving for the New Zealand Championships at Timaru) should alone bo worth going ont to see. In the HaUer Cup life saving competition nine teams have entered, and this should lie » big attraction, as keen rivalry exists . between tho various s clubs. The sub-committee in charge of the beach sports have worked hard in arranging their programme and parents can look forward to the children bring well looked after. Afternoon tea. will be obtainable on the beach. The Miramar Band has been engaged, and will render selections during the afternoon. As the first event starts at 11.30, visitors are advised to get ont early. A frequent tram service to Seatoun has been arranged, and extra oars will ran from Courtenay place.
