SUICIDE OF SCIENTIST. WENT SOUTH WITH SCOTT. Australian and N*Z. Cable Association. LONDON, January 18. E. W. Nelson, a member of Scott’s last Antarctic Expedition, who was scientific superintendent of the Marine Laboratory at Aberdeen, was found dead in the laboratory. Death was due to the self-injection of a deadly poison in the leg. , Nelson was the respondent in an undefended suit in the London Divorce Court on Monday, when his wife obtained a decree for the restitution of conjugal rights. He was a brilliant biologist and mathematician.
