Take All or White Heads (Ophioholua garminis) Is a soil t ot dealing destruction to wheatcrops. and a little of this growth has made its < ppearance in p.arts of the Ashburton County, states the “Guardian." The best method to emplay in getting rid of it is not to sow the affected land in wheat for three years. Oats do not take the disease, and can be safely grown on the affected land. It is exceedingly common in Australia. Several years ago a croo of wheat near Ashburton was infested with Take All, and damaged conformably. The irtotxiod of eradicating it, suggested above, was fnt into operation. and the land was eventually made clean. During the interval the crops of oats were phenomenally good, and over ninety bushels to the acre was reapted on more than one occasion.
