A DEATH SHIP

TYPHUS, SMALLPOX, CHOLERA. GREEK REFUGEES. Reuter’s Teleeram. (Received January 17. 5.5 p.m.) V ATHENS, January 18. A veritable death ship has arrived at the Piraeus from Samsun and Obnstantinople. Of 2000 passengers, 1600 and stricken with typhus, smallpox, and choke*, including two ooLof the three doctors. Thirty-fivwdied and were buried at sea. Twenty-five*more died in the harbour. The Greek health authorities ordered the bodies to he burned in the ship’s furnaces. The Government has debarred the admission of further refugees until the epidemic is controlled.
