MAIMOA DUE SATURDAY. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advise that the Maimoa is loading at Timaru from Lyttelton, and is expected to arrive here on Saturday next. She will sail on the following Thursday for Auckland and Napier, and will leave the latter port finally on February 6th for New York and Boston. CANTERBURY STEAMERS. The Breeze is due hero to-morrow and is to sail again the same day for Wanganui. She is due back on Saturday and will sail again for Lyttelton, Timaru, Oamaru, Dunedin, leaving the same day. .. ARAWA TROM SOUTHAMPTON. The Shaw. Savill and Albion Companv advise that the Arawa, which left Southampton on December 14th, is expected to arrive at this port about Sunday next. TAHITI FROM ’FRISCO. The postal authorities advise that the Tahiti left San Francisco on Friday last for Wellington. She carries letter mail ajd parcels. She is due here about February 3rd. OTARAMA FOR SOUTH. Tha Otarama is expected to clear this port to-day for Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete discharge. She sails finally for London from this port about the end of the month: PORT HUNTEIR FROM WANGANUI. The Port Hunter was expected to leave Wanganui late last night for Wellington, and is due here this afternoon. She sails again an Friday afternoon for Lyttelton. PORT ELLIOT DUB SUNDAY. The Port Elliot is expected to clear Auckland on Friday afternoon for Wellington, and should arrive here on Sunday afternoon. She will leave again on January 25th for Napier. CUMBERLAND FOR SOUTH. Napier, Gisborne, Tokomaru Bay, and returoing to this port, where she will be finally dispatched about February sth. WAIMARINO FOR NAPIER. A wireless message received from the Waimarino, which is bound from San Francisco, states that the vessel will arrive at Napier thi3 afternoon. From the latter port the vessel will come on to Wellington, where she is duo about January 24th. NEW C. AND D. LINER. The latest English mail brings details of the launching recently of the steamer Port Hardy, for the Commonwealth and Dominion Line, Ltd. The Port Hardy was constructed at the yards of R. and W. Hawthorn, Leslie, and Co., Ltd., at Hebbum-on-Tyne. Like her immediate predecessors—the Port Auckland, Port Campbell, and Port Huntei—the new vessel is specially designed for refrigerator business. Her principal dimensions are: Length 500 ft, beam 62ft Sin, and depth 51ft Bin. She is designed to cairy about 11,800 tons dead-weight. The Port Hardy is expected to sail from London on. March 7th for Australian porta. THE DEUTSCHLAND. The ex-German submarine Deutschland, whiob was purchased hr Horatio Bottomley, has, according to advioe from England, been sold to the scrappers for £2OO, although the bill owing to the repairers was something like <£30,000. THU TRANS-PACIFIC TRADES. The arrival in the trans-Pncifio trade of the Empress of Canada, and Empress of Australia, has caused the Nippon Yuseu Kaisha to consider the construction of a fleet of first-class steamers in place of the present 6000 tenners.

She is timed to sail on February Ist for New York, Boston, and AVest of England ports. ROBERT R. HIND. The four-masted schooner Robert R. Hind, which arrived on Monday from (he Pacific Slope, experienced exception ally heavy weather on the run across She has on board 50 tons of explosives, for discharge at Wellington, and will put this out at Shelly Beach to-day, and will sail for Adelaide about Saturday, for which port she is heavily laden wjth timber. PINNA FROM AUCKLAND. The Pinna from Singapore via Auckland was expected to leave the latter port yesterday afternoon for Wellington, and should arrive here towards the eld of the week. STEAMER RANADI SOLD. The Fiji Government steamer Ranadi, which arrived at Auckland on Saturday afternoon, 'has been sold to the Ellice and Gilbert Island Administration, whose iepresentative, Mr McClure, is at present in Auckland in connection with the vessel. The Ranadi 'has come to Auckland to be refitted for her new owners. KAIKOURA DELAYED.
