MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETS. A meeting of the management committee of the Wellington Cricket Association was held last night, when the following members were present: Messrs C-. G. Wilson (in the chair), D. McKenzie, P. B. Broad, R. A. Berry, P. R. Fulton, R. Murphy, J. Reid, W. R Bock, H. J. Buck, and E. R. F. Hewitt (hon. secretary) A letter was received from the Wanganui Association stating that Holland would, be available for the Wellington v. M.C.C. match if selected- A request was also made from the same association for the dates of. r.he southern tour in order that they might find out whether Holland! would be available for this also. Messrs Warnes and Stephenson wrote donating a bat to the player who puts up the most meritorious performance in representative matches and asking that the management committee make the decision.—lt was decided to thank the donors for their offer. The Wellesley Club wrote asking for exemption from ground fees for last Saturday as their junior B match with Poneke was decided in one day.—The matter was referred to the junior committee. The Lyall Bay Club stated that in their third grade match with Kilbjrnie, owing to _ lack of good umpires, the decisions given by those in this position materially, altered the result of the game. They asked that umpires be appointed on future occasions when matches affected the championship.—Received. The Boxing Association wrote extending an invitation to the teams playing in the M.C.C. match on January 25tn to witness a programme they had arranged for that evening.—It was decided, to thank them for their kindness. The Tramway Club asked for the use of the Basin Reserve and the sight screen on February 20th and 21st, and it was decided to grant this if the applicants paid all expenses. The Karori Club wrote protesting against the state of No 1 . 2 V.- ickot at Duppa strest, which they said had a marked drop from the middle of the pitch to the batting crease and had g number of .pebbles on the surface. It was further stated that several players had met with injuries owing to the bad state of the wicket. —The letter was received.
