MR HUGHES TO STAND FOR NORTH SYDNEY. By Telegraph—Press Assn;—Copyright. SYDNEY, September 2. It is freely rumoured in National quarters that Mir Packbill will give way in the North Sydney contest for Mr Hughes, and Mr Marr will retire from Parses for Mir Parbhill. The campaign secretary of one of the National candidates for the North Sydney seat announced on Thursday the receipt of a telegram from Mr Hughes, stating that he would he a candidate. To-day Mr Hughes has refused 1 to confirm this.
