SCHOOL GIRLS ON STRIKE
PROTEST AGAINST TEACHER’S ' DISMISSAL. Reuter’s Teleeram. (Received September 2, 5.5 pm.) LONDON, September 1. - Two hundred and forty girls of the Council school at Keighley struck as a protest against the education authorities’ dismissal of the headmistress in connection with staff reductions whereby married women teachers were retrenched. Giris have picketed the school gates.
