THE MANaWaTU siIAT. Mr H. T. Flyger, of Palmerston North, will contest the Manawatu seat which will he vacated by Mr E. Newman, who is retiring from active politics, and will have as his opponents Mr ,J. Linklater, of Palmerston North (Reform), Mr J. Murdoch, Mayor of Shannon. (Independent), and Mr F. Whibley, of Foxton (Labour). Mr Flyger will stand as an Independent Liberal in’ the farming and industrial interests, and as an advocate for the •reduction of taxation.
