A JUBILANT COMMUNIQUE
TURKS CLAIM GREAT SUCCESS. Reuter’s Telearam. (Received September 1, 1.10 a.m.) PARIS, August 31. Arvices from Angora state that a jubilant communique claims that the Turks are advancing everywhere, captaring prisoners. The Greeks are fleeing and abandoning great quantities of material. An unconfirmed telegram reports that the Turks have occupied Eskdshehr. On the contrary an’ Athens semi-official message says that the evacuation of Aflun-Kara-Hissair was carried out in perfect order, and all material was withdrawn to the new line, from which Greek artillery dominates the town.
