WELLINGTON COLLEGE. (JBOUNDS. EUGBT ONION ASKED TO HELP, A deputation from the Wotliwtoa College Odd Boys' Association waited on the management committee of tie Wellington Rugby Union at the weekly meeting last night, seeking tnwnW assistance towards the erection of & sports pavilion at the college giountte. The cost of the building was stated at about 12000, of which 2200 or JBMO was already in sight. The grounds were used by many teams under the jnriscHetio* of the nnion, apart from the coUese fifteens, and it was therefore maintained that the nnion should afford assistance. It was suggested that 25 per cent, of the ''gate" of last Wednesday’s intercollege match at the Athletio BukilwM be set aside for the purpose. The chairman (Mr J. Prendeviße) said the suggestion in regard to the division of last Wednesday’s "gate,*' which amounted to JEB6 odd, would be oonsHered by the committee, as well as the proposal of making e grant. He admitted that the college authorities had teen very good to the nnion in granting the use of its grounds. The matter was referred to the finance committee for consideration and report.
