EPIDEMICS IN FAR EAST. CONTROL OF REFUGEES. Reuter’s Telegram. GENEVA, August 19. At a meeting of the Health Committee of the League of Nations, Sir George Buchanan announced That Britain would advance £IOO,OOO for the maintenance, quarantine, and control of the movements of refugees on the Russian frontier, conditional on other members of the League subscribing £200,000. The committee decided to recommend the dispatch of a Commission to the Far East to investigate the question of the frequency of epidemics, paxticulorly~tEose constituting an international danger.
