TWO FATALITIES. PEE PEESS ASSOCIATION. GORE, August 19. At two o’clock in the morning a motor-car crasKed into the Waimea river near Mandeville, through mistaking the bridge crossing. Of the four occupants, Andrew McLennan, a carpenter, aged 33, of Rivers dale, was drowned. The others 'escaped with minor injuries. The body was recovWESTPORT, August 19. P. O’Connor, aged 44, a well-known Karamea resident, was found clinging to a wire in the Bnller river. He was removed to hospital, but died shortly afterwards.
