SALE OF CARPETS
Something unusual in the line of carpet sales will take place at Masterton on Wednesday next. Messrs E. Johnston and Co., the well-known Wellington firm of. .auctioneers, have received instructions to sell a unique collection of beautiful carpets and runners, the first of its kind over to be put up for auction in the Wa.irn.rapa. There ore included carpets bearing such well-known stamps as Wilton and Axminster, besides Persian end special quality, hand-made Indian carpots, reversible mats, lounge rugs, runners. eto. The sale will take place at 1 p.m. in Fairbrother’s auction mart, Masterton. and full particulars will be found in our advertising columns.
