MINISTERS’ ASSOCIATION
MONTHLY MEETING. The Wellington Ministers’ Associa* tion held its monthly meeting on Monday afternoon in the Y.M.C.A. The president, the Rev. H. E. Bellhouse, occupied the chair, and there was a good attendance of members. After the routine business, the Rev. W. Maurice Holland, 8.D., read a paper on “The Bible and Modern Criticism.” This subject was discussed, after which Mr Holland received the thanks of those present for his essay. A resolution on social hygiene was passed; a copy to he forwarded to the Premier, Minister for Health, and Hospital Board. The question of the opening of “marble bars” on Sundays was brought under review. The secretary (Dr Pinfold) was deputed to see the Mayor re/60-operation in helping the unemployed. The Rev. D. J. Shaw was asked to contribute a paper at the next meeting (in August) of the association.
