ATHLETICS IN ENGLAND
STAMFORD BRIDGE' MEETING. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association LONDON, July 2. The King attended the amateur athletic championships meeting at Stamford Bridge. The competitors included French. Swiss, Swedish, Norwegian. Finnish, and Esthonian champions. H. Edwards (West Indies) did an unprecedented feat by winning thp 100 yards in 10 seconds, the 200 yards in 22see, and the quarter-mile in 50 2-ss£o. Kent Hughes (Melbourne) won the quarter-mile hurdles in 59sec.
