(Received July 3, 10.25 p.m.) SYDNEY, July 3. The officers of the Largs Bay have been given twenty-four hours’ notice preparatory -to laying the vessel up. T'he officials of the line state that the order for laying all steamers up Tvill be adhered to. IDLE MINERS TROUBLE IN NEW SOUTH WALES. PROSECUTIONS PENDING. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association (Received July 3, 10.25 p.m.) SYDNEY, July 3. About forty summonses have been issued against the employees of Aberniain No. 2 Colliery for being concerned in the stoppage of the colliery -without reasonable cause. The employees of Abermaaiv No. 1 Colliery, who ceased work in sympathy, are also t.o be prosecuted. Over pne thousatld summonses are being issued. The arose in connection with a proposal to absorb the employees of Seaham No. 2 Colliery, now closed down, which is owned by t-he A’berrnain Collieries, Ltd., the management refusing to be bound by a ballot taken at Seaham to decide the names and order in which men may be employed and reserving the right to select its own employees. A mass meeting of minors decided to return to work to-day, but fears are entertained that the prosecutions will lead to further trouble.
