POLICE SERGEANT INJURED

FALL FROM FIR® ESCAPE. About midday yesterday Police-Ser-geant H. Dyer, of the Taranaki street station, had occasion to- climb the fire escape of a dwelling in Shannon street. While on the escape it broke, and Sergeant Dyer foil heavily to the ground, injuring one of his logs. He was attended to by Dr. Henry. It will be some days before the sergeant will be able to get about again.
