COMMUNITY SINGING

TO-MORROW’S GATHERING. * The usual people's sing hour will he held this week on Wednesday between 12.30 and 1.30 at the Town Hall, and as the “sings” have settled down to normal again there will be room for all business men and women who wish to attend. Mr G. W. B. Hughes, an old favourite, is song leader, and be will be assisted by Messrs W. W. Goodie and Charles Parnell in a specially entertaining singing programme. The collection will be devoted to the Mayor’s Unemployment Fund, and as the finding of work is so pressing it s expected the public will respond well.

COMMUNITY SING AT UPPER HUTT.

The initial “sing” was made at Upper Hutt on Tuesday last by Mr Claude - Sanders’s Bohemian Concert Party, who gave an entertainment in aid of the''Russian Famine Fund. The audience was a little shy at first, but Eoon entered heartily into the “sing,” every man, woman, and child doing their best. Mr George Sutherland Was song leader. Mr Claude Sanders was at the piano.
