Pratique was granted) and the vessel berthed at No. 2, Queen's wharf, at 3.1'5 p.m. yesterday. The Manuka left Sydney at 1 p.m. on Thursday. At first strong south-west-erly winds prevailed, but on Friday the •wind went round to the south and continued until arrival. Fine weatheT was experienced in Cook Strait. WAIRUNA FOR 'FRISCO. The Union Company's trans-Pacific cargo steamer Wainma. arrived in the stream at Wellington at 8.50 o'clock yesterday morning from Sydney and Newcastle. Pratique was granted and the vessel berthed at No. 1, south (outer tee), Queen's wharf, at 10.45 a.m. yesterday. The Wairana will leave Wellington at daybieak to-day for Papeete and San Francisco. THE CANTERBURY BOATS. The Canterbury Company's steamer Storm will now leave Wellington to-day with general cargo for Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. The Gale is due at Wellington on Friday from Dunedin Oamaru, Timaru, and Lyttelton, and will sail on the same day for Picton and Wanganui. The Anchor Company's passenger steamer Ngaio. which hag been undergoing a general overhaul at Nelson, is duo at Wellington at 6 o’clock this morning from that port, and will berth at No. 4, Queen's wharf to disembark her passengers. The vessel will subsequently go round to the patent slip to be placed on the cradle for cleaning and painting. The Ngaio will sail from Wellington at 7,30 n.m. on Thursday for'Nelson in her usual running. The Nikau is due at Wellington on Thursday morning from Nelson, and will eail on Friday, together with the Kaitoa, for Nelson.
