KHANDALLAH CLUB. THE ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Khandallab Bowling Club was held last week, when there was a fair attendance of members. Mr J. Bcvin (president) was in the chair. The fourteenth annual report and bal-ance-sheet stated that ten new membera were elected, four resigned, and two died, leaving the membership at fifty. The contests for the Ivhandallah-Johnsonville Challenge Cup were very enjoyable, and ended in a elose finish, the -winners being the Johnsonville Club. The top dressing of tho green had been completed, thanks to- the assistance of a few’ energetic members. In view of their past valuable services, Messrs E. Cowles and R B. Vincent have been elected life members, of the club. Thanks are due to the members of the Ladies' Croquet Club for a donation of £ r o towards the imporvement of the green, also to Mr G. Living for presenting the Goss Cup tor the singles competition. The president, in moving the adoption of the report, referred to the deaths of two prominent members of the club, Messrs Mansfield and W. R. Flimmer, all the members standing for a few moments as a mark of respect. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. Tlie following officers were elected : President, Mr W. C. Stephens; secretary, Mr H. E. Gilbert (re-elected); treasurer, Mr H. H. Taylor (re-elected); auditor, Mr C. Munro; directors, Messrs vV. C. Stephens (vice Mr J. Devin, retired), H. E. Gilbert (re-elected), H. H, Taylor (re-elected); ©election committee, Messrs G. J. Robertson and Stephenson \v right; billiard table committee, Messrs Ti Nakier, P. F. Hodgson, and H. H. Taylor; delegate to Wellington Bowlmg Centrc*. Mr H. E. Gilbert. With a view of having more friendly games on the local green it was decided that the club refrain from entering fot the Pennant matches this coming season.

It was resolved that it suggestion to the directors that under amended article No. 25, members who ar© nonbowlers, and newly-elected members, may enjoy billiard players' privileges only, at a reduced annual subscription. It was resolved that member© mutually arrange their own pairs matches this coming season. The president presented the Goss Cnn to Mr W. Butt, the wrinner of the singles competition; also the Bourke Mug© to Messrs H. E. Gilbert and J. o. Mulford, the winners of the pairs competition. Votes of thanks were accorded to the retiring president, and officers, the groundsman, and the ladies for their valuable assistance at various times dur* mg, the past season.
