LORD INCHCAPB AS CHAIRMAN OF ECONOMY COMMITTEE. Lord Inohcapo haa agreed to act as chairman of the committee to he appointed by the Government of India on expenditure. Lord Inchcape will proceed to India in the English autumn of this year to prosecute the inquiry. Instructions are being issued to the departments of the Government of India (says the India Office) to make every preparation which can expedite nnd facilitate the committee’s work. Preliminary investigation is now being carried on in Simla by a oommktee, of which the chairman is Mr Innos (commerce member of the Viceregal Council), and the members General Sir Havelock Hudson and Mr G G. Sim, I.C.S.
