SUEZ CANAL
BARRING .AMERICAN VESSELS. STATEMENT IN CONGRESS. Australian and N.Z. Cablo Association. (Received Juno 29, 9.10 p.m.) WASHINGTON, June 28. The House of Representatives has been circularised by Mr Edmunds, who declares that tho British have taken steps to bar American vessels front using tho Suez Canal as part of a campaign to defeat the American Merchant Marino Subsidy Bill, now pending in the Congress. Ho says that American vessels have been omitted from the classification cf ships allowed to enter tho canal with cargoes of benzine and petroleum.
