SOUTH AUSTRALIA AND UNIFORM RAILWAY GAUGE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. ADELAIDE, June 28. The Minister for Railways stateo that South Australia is unlikely to favourably consider Mr -Hughes’s scheme for a uniform railway gauge at the present time, in view of the high cost of construction and the high rates of interest, or until a more reliable estimate as to what extent the State is involved is forthcoming.
