LICENSING MATTERS
HUTT COMMITTEE. The adjourned meeting of the Hutt licensing Committee was held! yesterday at the Lower Hutt court, Mr Riddell, S.M., presiding. All members were present. The licenses of the Railway 'and Bellevue Hotels were granted. The -committee also granted an additidfral license for the Trentham races. The police stated that a number of women had been supplied with liquor from a storeroom attached to the bar, and instructions were given that the room should be kept locked. The committee decided to consider at a future date a request made by the Wellington Racing Club, through Mr O’Leary, that a rule whereby tho license for the booth was only granted to a licensee in the district should be abrogated.
