PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYEES
CONFERENCE WITH MINISTER. Representatives of the New Zealand Workers’ Union waited upon the Hon. J. G. Coates (Minister for Public Works) yesterday, in order to deal up one or two matters which were left undecided at the oommittee meeting ol delegates and officers of the department resulting from the recent conference with the Minister. Points dealing with overtime and travelling allowances were discussed at some length with Mr Coates, and an amicable settlement was arrived at.
