TRADE REVIVAL
REDUCED MANUFACTURING COSTS HELPING BRITAIN. Speaking at the opening of the conference of the National Chamber of Trade at Margate, Mr Telex Blackmore, Wolverhampton, the retiring president, declared himself a believer in an imminent trade revival. The la,test Board of Trade figures showed increased exports, and a steady contraction of the margin between exports and imports. Reduced manufacturing costs were placing Britain in a favourable position in world commerce.
