SOUTH AFRICAN DUTY
PLAN TO CHECK DUMPING. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. CAPETOWN, -Tune 26. The House of Assembly adopted a resolution providing for a dumping duty to bring the price of imported goods to the level of local products in cases where the sale of the imported goods is likely to affect any industry in the Union. The Minister for Finance explained that the reason of the measure was the alleged undercutting of the South African Rubber Company by American rubber suppliers for the purpose of capturing the market.
