MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE

FATAL COLLISION NEAR SHANNON. PEB PUESS ASSOCIATION. PALMERSTON N., June 27. At the inquest on the body of William Davidson, who died from injuries received in a collision between a motor-oar and a trap on the Shannon road on June 10th, the coroner returned a verdict that the deceased died from gross injuries to the brain sustained through a motor-car, driven by Hugh Wilson Mclntosh contrary to the rule of the road, colliding with the horse and trap. Mclntosh was charged with manslaughter, and remanded for one week on bail.
