Air Arthur John Tatlock Howson, aged ‘44 years, a leather merchant, residing at ElUorslio (Auckland), collapsed at his home on Sunday morning l , death ensuing. After breakfast, Air Hewson was playing with his little son, and was stooping to blow the fire, when on getting up lie complained of pains in his chest. His wife propped him up, anil he felt a little easier, but three-quarters of an hour aftei'warda death occurred. Deceased had always suffered from flatulency and was very nervous.
Air S. B. Dodge, late engineer to the Eastbourne Borough Council, has been appointed engineer to the Masterton Boro-ugh Council. He will take np liis new duties on July 14th.
