THE HUTT BRANCH, i In the absence of the president of the Hutt branch of tho 11.A.0.8.5., Bro. A. Ale Kay, the quarterly meeting of the lodge, which was held at the Roman Catholic School, Lower Hutt, last Monday evening, was presided over by the vice-president, Bro. P Minihan, there being a satisfactory attendance of members. General business was dealth with iu the usual manner. During the quarter thirteen new members were admitted to the society. Officers elected for tho eusuing term were:—President, Bro. P. Aiinihan; vice-president. Bro. W. Alinihan; secretary, Bro. D. Neuzor; treasurer, Bro. P. Evans; warden, Bro. P. Dennehey; guardian, Bro. P. Sullivan; visiting brothers, Bros. A. Gleeson and A. AlclCay; auditors, Bros. P. Dennehy and A. McKay; trustees. Bras. AI. J. Hodgins, F. Troaliy and J. Hayes and Chaplain of the Lodge, Rev. Father Carmine. The installation ceremony was carried out by Bro. J. Hayes, P.P., after which the newly-elected officers were congratulated by their fellow’ brethren. Eulogistio references were made by Bros. J. Hayes, P.P., and W. Minihan, V.P., as to tho efficient manner in which the retiring Bro. G. Morgnn, who had heUl office for about nine years, had carried out his duties and the appreciation in which lie was Held by brethern and sisters. With reference to the retiring president, Bro. A. AlcKay was complimented by Bro. G. Morgan on the able manner in which he had carried out his duties while in the chair, and on his behalf Bro. P. Evans, trea--Burer, responded.
