CONTRACT WITH U.S. PRODUCER. The Queen of Roumania has. accord, ing to the “New York World,’’ signed a contract with one of the big American film companies to appear in some film scenes to be entitled “For My People.” The contract, which has just been revealed, was signed about two months ago, and some of the principal .conditions governing it are contained in a letter sent to the producer on the Queen’s behalf from the Royal Palace at Bucharest which reads:— “You are hereby granted an option to negotiate for the taking and making of a moving picture in which Her Majesty, Marie, Queen of Roumania, shall be featured for' a period of fourteen days. The terms upon which the said picture is to be made by you or your principals are as follow: — (1) The manuscript and scenario are to be acceptable to Her Majesty. (2) The picture shall be taken in Bucharest and suoh other cities in Roumania or elsewhere as shall be agreed upon. (3) You or your principals are to assume all costs and expenses incidental to the taking and making of the pioture. (4) You and your principals to advance the sum of £15,000 to Her Majesty and 60 per cent, of the net proceeds realised.” The Queen, it appears, has also agreed to furnish her Royal palace and grounds, nobles, officials and all her Court attendants for. scenes iu the picture. Some of the scenes are to he laid in the United States, and the Queen has agreed to visit there after her coming coronation as Queen of Transylvania. Queen Marie was bom an English princess, the daughter of the Duke of Edinburgh, and is a cousin of King George.
