A letter was received by the executive of the Auckland Returned Soldiers’ Association from Airs Nicol, secretary of the Auckland Mothers’ League, recarding the money collected on Poppy Day; Sho stated that there Was much distress prevalent, and she wanted to know the object for which the money was raised, as no soldier so far as her league was concerned had received any assistance from it.
