The hearing was commenced MB week of what is known as the wooltops case, in which the Gommoowedtli and Central Committee is proceeding against the Colonial Spinning and Weaving Company, Ltd. claim is for money allegedly doe by the defendant company as license fees for allowing the company to sell wooh-topii to foreign countries. £250,000 is claim* ed as damages for breach of agrees ment, and £282,000 was paid by plain* tiffs conditional upon such release. At cross-action was ondioated, involving about £1,000,000, in which the dot fendaut company alleged that the Commonwealth Government was guilty of breaches of the agreement in refosbig consent to further sales of wooltops, except on conditions Which would give the Government * greatef share of profits from the operations than they were entitled to*
