FREE STATE ATTITUDE DEFINED
CIVIL WAR AGAIN PREDICTED TERRIBLE DAYS IN BELFAST The difficulty regarding the Collins-De Valera pact is becoming accentuated, and there are again gloomy predictions of civil war. A warning by the British Government that any attempt to deviate from the treaty would have grave consequences, has been met by a statement by Mr Collins that everything must be done to placate the De Valeraites. This is the first definite statement that the Collins party has any intention of departing from the terms of the treaty. Meanwhile murder and incendiarism continue in the North on a large scale.
