GOODS PILLAGED
EXPENSIVE ARTICLES TAKEN. PEB PBESS ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, June 9. Two large drapery firms report losses by pillaging of a quantity of fashionable goods out of a shipment by the lonic. In each case the goods consisted of model costumes and frocks. The manager of one of the firms expressed the opinion that the pillaging mnst have been carried out under an organised system, as only the most expensive articles were taken.
