YESTERDAY’S SALES
SHEEPSKINS, HIDES, AND TALLOW. Reports on the fortnightly wile Jcf sheepskins, hides, and tallow held yesterday are to hand from Messrs Levin ana Co., Dalgety arid Co., Murray, Roberts, Naw Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Wairarapa Farmers Co-operative Association, Ltd., Wright, Stephenson, New Zealand Farmers’ Distributing Go., and Abraham and Williams. Competition it is reported 1 was keen for dry sheepskins, and prices showed an advance of kd to Id over last sale rates, while salted skins sold at about par. . 1 j Hides were dull and prices receded for most lines. Heavy ox were not sought, and were lower by about l*d. Medium and light ox were easier. Cow hides were also slightly lower. Calfskins were higher; we obtained up to 17d for a medium line. Tallow in casks and tins was about 2s 6d nor cwt lower.
