“MUST WAIT UNTIL DAWN”
CAPTAIN STOTT’S TELEGRAM. DETAILS OF THE CARGO. Captain Stott, marine superintendent for the Union Company, who went with the tug this morning, telegraphing from the Barrier, states: “Nothing can be .done until the morning.” Nothing is known here about tho crew, except that the captain is Mr Hayward and the chief officer Mr Goddard, who was formerly chief officer of the Piako. Of the 4000 tons of cargo on the Wiltshire, 1000 tons are for Auckland, consisting of galvanised iron, tinplate, basic slag, a locomotive for the Government, and general. The only manifests at present received are from Bristol and for part of tho Glasgow cargo.
