LAND AGENTS ACT
REGULATIONS GAZETTED. LICENSE FEES FIXED. Regulations gazetted yesterday, under the Land Agents Act, 1921-22, prescribe the forms in which applications for licenses l , and for renewals or transfers of licenses, shall be made ; also the form for objections to licenses, renewals, and transfers. The fee payable on the issue or renewal of a license is fixed at £10: provided tha if a land agent propose® to carry on business at more than one place of business he shall pay a further lee of £3 for one additional place, £6 tor two additional places, £8 for three additional places, £lO for four additional places, and £ls for five or more additional places: provided also that where a license is issued after the last day of September in any year, half only of the aforesaid fees shall bo payable. The fee payable on the transfer of a license is to be £1: provided that if the transferee proposes to carry on business at moro than or.o place of business ho shall pay a further fee of 6j for one additional place, 1.2 s for two additional places, 16s for three additional places, 20s for four additional places, and 30s for five or more additional places. It is also provided that in respect of every license under the Land Agents Act, 1912, issued after December 31st, 1921, and before April Ist, 1922, there shall be payable on or before December 31st, 1922, a fee of £2 10s. The fee so payable shall be in addition to any fee paid on the issue of the license. If the holder of a license to which this claus© relates fails to pay the fee required on or before December 31st, 1922, his license will expire on that date. Payment of the fee after December 31st will not operate to revive a license that has expired as above provided.
