(.Received .May 31, 5.5 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Alay 30. Entire officialdom assembled at Arlington to witness the dedication of the Lincoln memorial. Ex-President Taft and President Harding made tho principal speeches, which wero sent broadcast by \firelc.-s telephone. The monuyicnt resembles a Doric temple, and it required a decade to construct the massive columns of white marble, oGft bitch, enclosing tbo Lincoln statue, 30ft high. Ex-President Wilson was unable to attend. President Harding said that Lincoln not have abolished slavery if the Union could have held together •without its abolition. Ho eulogised Lincoln, but said that, like Washington, he was not a superman, but a very natural human being, •fcith the mixed frailties and virtues of humanity. The President concluded with an exhortation to American people to maintain unity, setting a helpful - example to the world.
