QUESTION OF SALARY REDUCTION. By Telegraph.—Pres* Asm.—Copyright. (Received Alay 31, 10.10 p.m.) SYDNEY, May 31. In reply to a deputation from the Pnblio Servants’ Association, which asked the Government to delay the leduction in the salaries of civil servants in accordance with the decrease in the basic wage, Air T. >R. Bavin (AttorneyGneral) said it was not proposed to reduce the salaries of public servants, but what was proposed to be done was wherever salaries bad been increased on acconnt of the basic wage tnose salaries must decrease with the decrease in the basic wage.
