SOCCER REP. MATCH
’team SELECTORS DEFENDED, (To the Editor "N.Z. Time*.") Sir,—A good deal of fault-finding ha* been levelled at the selector* of the team to meet the Australians on June 3rd. HavU any of the critics considered the task of the selector* or tried to wok at it from their point of yiewf Personally, I would not have put in two of the backs, or two of the forwards: yet they have a good team. The five Thistle* ot the hack division, with Jonaa at left half, will be a big factor for combination, and the forward line look good; and I think the Wellington team will win. Younger players. iike_ McLeod and Prince, at full-back, Russell and MeGirr, oentre half, Cuesaek, McMillan, and Anton, in the forwards, will got places before long. So let us try and be fair to three honest men. OLD SOCCER PLAYER.
