YESTERDAY’S MEETING. APPLICATIONS 'AND TRANSFERS GRANTED. At yesterday’s meeting of the Wellington Land Board, Mr G. H. M. McClure (Commissioner of Crown Lands) presided, those also present being Messrs J. Dawson, J. Georgetti, H. T. Ellingham, and C. Mclntyre. The Commissioner reported the reappointment of Mr McIntyre as a member of the board. The following applications for land were approved Section 5, block 11, Rdtarike; 6J acres, - miscellaneous tenure, Taylor Paul, rental £1 per month. Section 11, block 3, Tiriraukawa, 43 acres, miscellaneous, Oscar Bowling; annual rental, £l4.

200 Acres approximately, miscellaneous, W. 11. Toland, L. W. Wiles and C. D. Crighton. Section 2, Village of Kohanga, 10 acres, cash, John Charles Morgan; capital value, .£l6O. Section 4, Makowai Settlement, 63) acres, S.T.L., Walter Fifield Reeve; capital value £3130, annual rental £l4O 17s. Section 13, Moroa Settlement, 65 acres, S.T.L., John C. Jamieson; capital value £3986, annual rental £199 6s. TRANSFERS. Transfers were also granted as under Section 55, block 3, Belmont, 63 acres, Edward Gardner to Frederick and William Alex. Williamson. — Approved, subject to transferees being eligible. Section 33, block 8, Mu,kun. 98} acres, Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-operative Association, Ltd., to Alfred Isaac George. Section 2, block Bj, Hunua, 845 acres, Frank Lisle Smith, ‘ to Norman Fred Paul.

Applications for the fee simple were approved as follow :—Sections 3 and 4. block 5, Momahaka, 526 acres, Mrs Emf,y M. Chesswas (administratrix of the estate of the late John Chesswas). With references to section 3, block IS, Levin township, 2 roods, the seven-year lease of which section expires on June 24th, 1922, it was resolved to offer the leasee a year to year lease at a rental of £3 15s per annum George Thomas Little’s application to surrender his interest in section 22, block 8, Makuri S.D., area 49 acres, was .adjourned for an inspection of the property. i In regard to the application by the Tiraumea School jjlommittee for a temporary lease of section 245, Tiraumea Settlement, area 3 acres, it was resolved to grant a lease for twelve months under section 74 of the Land for Settlement Act, 1908, as amended by section 40 of the Land Laws Amendment. The board decided to grant Mr J. Braithwaite a year to year license for section 13, block 1, and section 1, block 2, in the township of Piriaka, area half an acre, at an annual rental of £1 per section.

The board accepted the surrender by Mr E. W. Slipper of his year to year tenancy over section 2, block 2, town of Owhanga, area quarter of an acre, municipal reserve.
