TE KUITI INCIDENT
CAPTAIN ORDERED OFF. TAKES TEAM WITH HIM. An exciting development occurred in a senior match played in the Domain between To Kuiti and Haugatiki Rugby football teams. In the third quarter Te Kuiti was leading 6 to 0, when Nilvora, captain of the H&ngatilri team, who had been repeatedly warned for appealing, was ordered off. He took his team off also, and the match abruptly terminated. Mr M. Hunter, the referee, was greeted with mixed cheering and hooting by the spectators. In a curtain-raiser, To Kuiti A defeated Te Kuiti B by 5 to 3, after a clean and oxciting game. Mr N, Cole was referee.
