AUSTRALIANS DEFEAT NEWPORT. Australian and N.Z Cable Association (Received Mar 30, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, May 29. The Australians defeated Newport 326 points in the aggregate to 106. The weather was excellent and the green keen. Prior to the ""match the Mayor received the team at the Town Hall, and they afterwards drove round the docks. The result of the games were as follow : Casey, 23 to 36; Ridgeway, 25 to 24; Johnson, 38 to 15; Williams, 26 to 1G; Hemp, 21 to 21; Treadwell, 39 to 14.
