WELLINGTON DISTRICT CASES. Tho following cases of infectious disease were notified in the Wellington health district during the week ending May 29th. The corresponding figures for tho previous week are given in parentheses:— Scarlet fever, 9 (3) —Palmerston North 1, Wellington 6, Wairarapa 2. Diphtheria, 5 (10) —Palmerston North 2, Wellington 2, Nelson 1. Enteric fever, 1 (2)—Palmerston North. Tuberculosis, 4 (5) —Palmerston North 2, Wellington 2. Cerebro-spinal meningitis, 1 (1) — Wellington. Puerperal septicaemia, 4 (1) —Palmerston North 2, Wellington 1, Wairarapa 1. Varicella, 12 (11) —Palmerston North 4, Wellington 8. Pneumonia, 5 (o) —Palmerston North 1, Wellington 4. Pneumonic influenza, 3 (I)—Palmerston North 1, Wellington 2. Erysipelas, 2 (1) —Palmerston North l. Wellington 1.
