MR HUGHES ON TRADE RESUMPTION. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. BRISBANE, May 29. Mr W. M. Hughes, speaking at Cairns, referred to the returned sol (11,vs' objection to the resumption of trade with Germany. He said it was too late to act now. The objection should .have been made when Parliament was dealing with the matter. In any case, the tariff would effectively protect Australian industries.
